The FS FEUP team, supported by FHP, brought its summer competition season to a close with excellent results at Formula Student Switzerland and Formula Student Portugal. At the event held in Switzerland between 9 and 15 July, it took first place in the overall Junior Class standings. Also, it gained first place in the Cost and Manufacturing and Engineering Design categories, and second place in the Business Plan Presentation. This performance also earned them an invitation to compete in the final of the Cost and Manufacturing challenge in the competitions main category. Meanwhile, at Formula Student Portugal, held between 19 and 24 July, the team took first place in Class 2 for Electric Vehicles, as well as first place in the Business Plan Presentation, Cost and Manufacturing, and Engineering Design categories. With the competitive season now over, the team is preparing to develop the FS FEUP 03, with the aim of returning to the track in 2027. FHP congratulates the team on their achievements and is proud to support a project that promotes innovation, engineering and the development of future talent.
Between 6 and 11 July 2026, the Técnico Solar Boat team, sponsored by Frezite, took part in the Monaco Energy Boat Challenge. This is a leading international competition in the field of sustainable mobility and maritime technologies, held at the Yacht Club de Monaco in Monaco. Throughout the week, the team put their São Gabriel 01 (SG01) prototype through its paces in various technical trials, achieving a significant milestone by competing for the first time in the Endurance Race, where they secured their first points in this demanding category. The highlight of the Portuguese team’s participation was the award of the Communication Prize, which recognises excellence in communicating the project and the ability to promote the values of innovation, sustainability and engineering to the international community. In addition, the competition provided a valuable opportunity for learning, knowledge-sharing and networking with university teams from around the world, reinforcing Técnico Solar Boat’s commitment to developing more sustainable energy solutions for the nautical sector. Frezite congratulates the whole team on this achievement and is proud to support a project that encourages innovation, promotes Portuguese engineering talent and contributes to a more sustainable future.
Between 30 June and 3 July 2026, FREZITE took part in the 11th edition of ForMóbile, held at the São Paulo Expo in São Paulo, Brazil. Regarded as the leading gathering for the furniture industry in Latin America, the trade fair brought together thousands of professionals and companies to showcase the latest innovations, trends and solutions for the sector. Over the four days of the event, the FREZITE team had the opportunity to strengthen relationships with clients and partners, exchange knowledge with industry professionals and showcase its latest solutions for wood processing and furniture production. The 2026 edition once again highlighted the dynamism and innovative capacity of the furniture industry, providing an ideal environment for networking, business development and the sharing of experiences between companies and sector specialists. FREZITE’s visibility during the event was also reflected in the communications material released by the organisers after the fair had closed, where the brand was prominently featured, further raising its profile amongst industry professionals.
FS FEUP Formula Student FEUP, a university engineering project supported by FHP, unveiled its latest prototype, the FS FEUP 03. This launch took place on 29 May during the Design Reveal event, held at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. Coming as a result of a years development, the new single seater incorporates significant technological advances and will now be put to the test in the Formula Student Switzerland and Formula Student Portugal competitions, which take place this summer. The presentation brought together sponsors, lecturers, alumni and partners of the team, marking the culmination of yet another stage in the project. FHP is proud to support an initiative that promotes innovation, the development of talent and the link between academia and industry, contributing to the development of engineering of the future.
A regular participant at this event, FHP took part in the 13th edition of AED Days, held between 27 and 29 May in Oeiras and Cascais. As well as keeping abreast of the key topics under discussion in the aeronautics, space and defense sectors, the company took the opportunity to meet with partners and potential clients through networking activities and B2B meetings. The event once again brought together national and international stakeholders from these industries, fostering the development of collaborations, strategic partnerships and new business opportunities.
Under the motto DISCOVER. EXPERIENCE. DO., FREZITE participated in the Holz-Handwerk 2026 trade show. It was the third time at the event for FREZITE, showcasing new products and reinforcing its commitment to innovation, precision engineering, and close ties to the industry. With the participation of FREZITEs sales team in Germany, the company highlighted solutions for windows and tools that align with trends in timber-frame homes. With more than a thousand exhibitors and approximately 75,000 trade visitors, the HOLZ-HANDWERK 2026 trade fair, held in Nuremberg, once again confirmed its status as one of the most important European events dedicated to the wood industry and the processing of wood-based materials.
As part of the metalworking curriculum, on 10 February, FREZITE and SERI welcomed 45 students from the CNC Programming and Machining and Mechanical Construction Design courses at CENFIM's – Portuguese Professional Training Centre for the Metallurgical and Metalworking Industry – Trofa Centre. During the morning, the students visited the production units in Trofa, learning about the development and manufacturing processes for high-precision tools. In the afternoon, the visit continued at SERI, where they learned about customised clamping systems, produced on a turnkey basis. The fact that several FREZITE Group employees began their training at CENFIM reinforces the value of technical training and the role of these companies in creating professional development opportunities. The visits also highlighted the technological evolution of the sector and the decisive contribution of the metallurgy and metalworking industry to the economy and innovation.
To end the year 2025 on a high note and start 2026 with the best energy, Frezite once again took part in the traditional São Silvestre races in Porto and Trofa. Several employees accepted the challenge and participated in both races, reinforcing team spirit and commitment to an active lifestyle. The São Silvestre do Porto race took place on 28 December, bringing together thousands of participants on an iconic route through the city. The São Silvestre da Trofa race took place on 10 January 2026, with the Alameda da Estação as the meeting point, which hosted the start and finish of the race. These initiatives, in which participants can choose between running (10 km) or walking (5 km), allow colleagues to come together and share experiences. Thank you to everyone who represented Frezite!
